    Goozex

What is Goozex and how does it work?

Goozex is a leading peer-to-multi-peer trading platform for video games. It connects users across the country and allows them to trade video games for points, and then use the points to request other video games from other users.

On Goozex you trade your games for others of similar value by using an internal trading currency called Goozex Points. You only pay $1 per game when you trade your games on Goozex!

Trading on Goozex is easy: once you list your requests and offers, you don't have to do anything else! Just wait for Goozex to find the perfect match for your transactions!
I signed up for Goozex with the far-fetched hopes of winning their PS3 giveaway but I do have some games I've been planning to trade for the longest time but never bothered because I know GameSpot will give me like $2 a piece at best and probably won't take half of them at all. Anybody used Goozex and can tell me if it's a good service? Do they have a good selection, fair point values, reliable, etc?

Is it a better deal then doing ebay? Just curious.

That's what I'm trying to find out. I guess nobody here has used it.

I used GameTZ once, but with no commission it's pretty unreliable. (I got my trade, true, but I only risked one.) No idea on this one.

Now Achievment Junkie is giving away a 360 Elite through a Goozex signup if anyone's interested in entering.

Rather than posting a new topic about this, I'm going to resurrect a year old one

I tried signing up for Goozex this month and its pretty good. Point values for trading in games seem to be more or less fair. The reason I signed up was because during April they give you a free trade credit and 100 free points, which will get you a free game. Not a new game, obviously, but a free game is not something I'm going to complain about. And after I went through a successful trade, they gave me another 200 points for free, which I got a slightly better game with. In any case, I'd say its definitely worth checking out for the free game, even if you don't want to use the service.

And of course, if people sign up under me then I get free points. If you want to be awesome and do that, here is my referral link: http://www.goozex.com/trading/asp/jo...dr=51674051237

They just recently did another PS3 sweepstakes for new sign-ups. Might still be going now.

So I decided to finally put my Goozex account to use. And it turns out its pretty cool. I put in all my PS2, PS1, and DS games I know I'll never touch again and immediately had a match for Animal Crossing WW and Monopoly/Boggle/Battleship/Yahtzee. After waiting a few days for them to get to their destinations I points 850 which was enough to get me Ninja Gaiden DS and Metroid Fusion. So I got rid of a couple games I didn't want anymore and am getting a couple I do want and all it cost me is a few dollars in shipping cost.

So if you've got some old games collecting dust in your collection give it a go. And yes I am shamelessly begging for referrals so I can get free points.

I discovered playswitch which is basically the same concept. But I'm new to the on-line trading biz, so I gotta learn the ropes.
