Any Fire Pro Wrestling fans here?

Just asking because our old buddy Mark from Agetec has been spotted on a fansite recruiting fans to help with the english localization of Fire Pro Wrestling Returns for the PS2 to make sure that the existing fanbase is happy with the final product.

    http://www.fireproclub.com/forum/vie...hp?f=12&t=7231

This will be the first console FPW game released in english. Agetec has the rights for NTSC and PAL territories.

Oh my God I can't believe this!

My friend has the Import version of this game. He's been wanting it to come to the United States for a long time. He is going to be sooooo pleased when he hears about this!

I'm shocked that Sony actually approved this game. it does not look like a PS2 game, it does not sound like a PS2 game, and it's completely 2D. it's everything Sony doesnt want on their system. and yet, here it comes.

I'm not a wrestling fan at all, I have no interest in this game, but it's Agetec, so I'll do what I can to get it all the attention possible.

Well...what is he looking for as in help? I really don't see what I could do to help...I'm a lifelong wrestling fan, so I guess the most I could do is identify and translate moves and whatnot.

he's looking for people who are super-hardcore about the series and can make sure that agetec's translations are correct for the movie names and other stuff. they pretty much want it to be a perfect translation that will have the fan's seal of approval on it.

well, I could definitely do that. I could help out w/ that, so pass the good word on if you could. I've played the series since Firepro Wrestling D...actually, before that for SNES, played the arcade Blazing Tornado, and I have both Firepros for GBA.

I'm shocked as well. Even though I am not familiar with Fire Pro, based on what I've seen, I'm blown away at the customization options. I guess that is the true appeal of the game. Against stiff competition like the WWE wrestling games, something like Fire Pro doesn't stand a chance. But then again, I'm sure Agetec listened to the Fire Pro fan demand and decided to play Santa Claus early this year

My friend just loves this game to death. He assumed the game would not come to North America seeing how it's about three years old. It's more popular in Japan than it is here. Once I tell him the news, he'll be blown out of his underwear.

EDIT: I'll spread the word to my friend--I think he's a member of the Fire Pro forums, and he has the import version so he knows the ins and outs of the game. I think he'll be vocal about not compromising ANYTHING from the Japanese version, especially the ability to make your own belts and ring emblems.

Kire, if you want to help out, I'd reccomend joining that forum. Mark's doing all the info and feedback gathering through there.
