I think there should be a law against this sort of thing here in Minnesota.
I remember when I was younger my mother would leave me and my siblings and her nieces (all of which at least 2 years younger than I was) in the van while she ran into Walmart, no matter what time of year. Vehicle would always be off, windows always rolled up, and the keys on the front seat. But the doors would be unlocked because when we locked them the alarm would go off cause there were still people inside.
See? Even the vehicle knew better.
