    I've got an idea!

You know how some games have a little message display that comes up when you enter another area? It says what area you entered. I was wondering how you could do that with RPGM3. And then it hit me. We could copy the maps, change the name, have a warp, and BAMB!! We would have our specified area.

I'll give you an example. Make a map, copy the map, and change one of their names. For example, our main map will be called World. In World, there will be a lake called Lake. We want it to say that we are next to Lake, so we call the second copy map Lake. In the layout editor for World, put an invisible warp where you want it to say Lake. Make it warp you to the Lake map, and put it close to where the warp start was in the World map. Set the invisible warp to auto. This is where it gets tricky. You'll have to do a lot of trial and error untill you get it just right. I havn't tried this out yet, so I can't garuntee it will be seemless or even if it works. It couldn't hurt to try though, could it?

The problem with that is that it would take up way too much memory. I don't want to dim your excitement or anything, but I just can't see a use for that.
Warning: Make sure brain is active before putting keyboard into gear.

Duct tape is like the Force. It has a Light side and a Dark side, and it holds the universe together.

I know it would take up lots of memory, I was just openly expressing myself.

Oh, an easier way would to just add movement event and set a message to play before of what area you are.

I just use signs to mark areas of interest within a region.

Using multiple field maps/dungeons/towns to represent a single region has its uses. Pagerron successfully did it in "Daniel's Quest 3". It worked very well, from what I saw. The main reason for doing this is to get around the 20-event limit per region.

Good idea Crythania! I never thought about it that way! Now I won't have to put random encounters in the fields!
