    internal variables

I just learned how to use shared variables and it worked, now I want to know basics about internal variables, an example on how to use them, and how to edit them from the debug menu screen on playtest. In the thread I accidently posted 4 times, I fully explained my first event created with variables, but I want to know how to change what the NPC I helped out says at a later point in the game when I visit them again. Example, the character keeps saying thanks again everytime I talk to them because I completed variable 1 with them. Later, the town gets attacked or the NPC wants me to find something else. How do I change this? Do internal variables play any part in it?

    Re: internal variables

    Dude, what are you doing?

You have posted three different threads about variables within the last two days. Keep all your stuff about the same topic in one thread.

All you need to do is click on "edit" to add to a post or "post reply" to add a new post.

No, internal Variables don't have anything to do with this. What you need to do is switch to a different mode. To do that, on the NPC's 5th screen, press the plus button. Then, a little to the side, there is an arrow pointing left. Click on it. After the thank you dialouge, put add mode and the mode should switch to two. (When you pressed the plus button, you made another mode. When you pressed the left arrow, you went back to edit mode 1) Exit the event editor. Press the right arrow this time, and you'll go to the 2nd mode. Go to the Event Editor, and the screen should have nothing in it. Put what you want them to do. Playtest it and see if it worked!

      I hope that helped!
