    cg sequences

After leaving the game alone for awhile on the RPG maker3 title screen, a short demo showing various things you can do in the game. I noticed that there were a couple interesting cg or 3d camera sequences where it showed a camera angle that looked like a bird soaring over the land, and a short wide-screen section with a dragon. Can you create these kinds of sequences in the game or do you need special hardware like the hard drive for the old ps2? What is that used for in the game anyway?

    No, you can't do that.

It is an annoying fakery to fill our hearts with hope, then stabbed them.

      I wish it were true.

But oh well, got to work with what you got.

That fly-over of the town and castle is pretty impressive. Too bad it's not possible to replicate in a game.

And to answer you second question, from what has been posted before, the hard drive only serves to minimize loading screen times, nothing more.

...and it really doesn't even do a good job of it: you still see "Loading..." in the bottom corner. THe only REAL thing it does is loads things off of the IHD instead of the disk itself.

I only wish Agetec would come out with an rpg maker 4. 2's and 1's flexibility, and threes graphics... I only own #1 and 3 but i've heard 2 is good.

RM2 is good, but it takes a L O T of work to understand just exactly what you need to do. I presonally LOVE RM2's flexability and versatility, but I really hate how complicated it is.

I also think that (just about) everyone is hoping/praying/wishing for RM4 to be a big smear of the other RMs...

...and to come out for the PS2...
