They've sent me about 10 e-mails in the past week, trying to get me to sell them both our domain names for $40 each.

          Ask for $500,000.

Or ask them to send pictures of themselves doing hilarious things and holding funny signs before you'll even consider it. Just so you know they're your kind of people.

Domain names are internet addresses, like www.pavilionboards.com

They're needed for people to be able to visit a site.

So if they get our domain names, what then...?

Will we still be able to visit this site?

They want our domain names so they can turn this site into a page full of ads.

We certainly don't want that. It's bad enough that I have to deal with pop-up ads whenever I surf other sites. We don't need them here in the Pavilion.

And they're not just an annoyance--they can actually do a lot more harm than you realize. They can attribute to spyware, spam emails and even open opportunities for identity theft.

That's why I don't go to other web sites.

most e-mail collecting bots are banned from the pavilion. most spam bots are too, which is why we've had membership approval off for so long without many problems. our IP deny list is freaking huge.

So if by some sort of random computing error Simple Man's ip was added to this list nobody would notice?
