My computer crashed last week...who knew that turning off the surge protector in the middle of a freeze would do any harm? Can you say, "unmountable boot volume" anyone?

Oh well, the repair guy was cool enough to salvage our documents and show me how to correctly reboot. So now I have a beefy amount of GB, around 18 (compared to 2 before) and I believe that my cable connection has been returned to it's glorious self.

So here's to another!

That is exactly how I felt....2 GBs and I could feel the pain each time I saved something or installed new software.

My network connection kept getting severed, despite my original belief that the reboot had fixed this...I found the problem though; Norton would deny my entire computer access after a random amount of time, which explains why this problem only ever occured after I had installed Norton's firewall (before it was on it never happened).

So now it's deleted and I have ZoneAlarm. Wee

I get that a lot seeing as my name is sometimes abbreviated as, "J. Lopez"

My first name is actually Javier and I'll stick to jvrlopez...I've had it as an sn/email addy since January of 2000.

40GB drive right here. Or, since this computer wants to be technical, 37.2 GB. Right now half of that's being used, thanks in part to The Sims, The Sims 2, and World of Warcraft. I'd check directly how much, but for some reason it'll only tell me how much memory the shortcut to the programs take.
