I've never played Monster Rancher, althoguh I'd like to sometime. I have played Pokemon, a lot when I was younger. Eventually Pokemon lost it's appeal for me though, it just got old =/ -

Pokemon is fun but repetitive. Really there's not much too it but the battles, everything else is just walking around to get to more battles. The game's popularity and the desire to catch em all is what keeps you going.
Monster Rancher has more game to it. And they try new things with pretty much each installment, unlike Pokemon. You actually get attached to your monsters because there's a lot more involved in raising and taking care of them. The game still centers around the battles naturally which are more dynamic than in Pokemon. And the whole CD thing is a gimmick that makes it even more fun to try to get everything.
Both are great games but I really think Monster Rancher has more to it.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!Comment

Pokemon for me. I like the appeal of the games. I don't know--I guess I sorta grew into it when the first games came out.

Can't go wrong with Double Cheeseburger. But Digimon Third'd.The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

I like double cheeseburgers, but I get them without cheese. And did you notice, Wendy's Double Stack is no longer a quarter pound?
On topic, I've never played any of the aforementioned games, although I did buy Pokemon Sapphire from that $1.99 Best Buy sale. Still have not had the desire to open it yet....Comment
