House OKs Troop Withdrawal from Iraq

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19723307/

However, Bush is probably going to veto the bill. Thoughts?

In my opinion, I felt like there was a purpose for war, but now that Bush's claims have been trumped on numerous occasions, the troops fighting there overseas need a break. A LONG BREAK. Send them home, Mr. President!

The war is making lots of money, helping gain access to the oil needed to 'preserve America's future', allowing corporate crooks like Monsanto to control Iraq's food production/supply and take the land of the farmers(yes, Iraq actually does have farms), allowing MCI and the like to get a monopoly on their telephones/internet, and Iraq will serve as a potentially permanent military base for other endeavours in the middle east.

The neocons aren't going to let this go and neither are most democrats. It is empire, pure and simple. 12% of the world's remaining oil, the second largest proven reserves of any nation in the world next to Saudi Arabia. Since America's government and the businesses that run it refused to allow alternative fuels to come into place in the 1990s, if we don't get Iraq's oil, this nation's economy is screwed.

And we aren't 'winning' this 'war'.

This vary foray into Iraq also threatens the lives of everyone in Iraq. They aren't going to stand for it, and thus they're fighting back against the U.S. Then they'll probably continue to still fight amongst themselves if they ever do drive us out, just as they are doing now...

The war is costing Americans nearly $90 billion a year, not factoring in external costs which may actually add to $2.5 trillion a few decades or so from now from a health crisis not yet showing up in our soldiers, all the environmental cleanup to be done, ect. That place is literally a toxic waste pit because of this war, with all the depleted uranium floating around to prove it.

It causes horrific birth deformities, as such in this link:

Nevermind the exposure of our soldiers to it:

Since when has it not? Government officials and corporations are duplicitous snakes that want money in their damn pockets and expect us to pay back what their stupid asses spent. They don't care about the people of the nation; they care about their buds in the corporations and large scale industries that back them up and pay them. That's all they care about. When was the last time the government cared about you? I'd like to hear the answer to that.

Bush is so delusional to the point that he is almost foaming at the mouth.

Have you heard his latest speech and question and answer session? He basically says that the public and Congress can go F-themselves.

In latest news: George W. Bush froths at the mouth. Doctors say it might be a tumor.

                      1. Voting got rigged...again. I know I voted Kerry.

                      2. Even with all the Anti-Bush promotion (Michael Moore, etc.), people believed he was still doing a good job.

Bowling for Columbine made me want to move to Canada. Other than that I haven't paid attention to anything Michael Moore's done.

Bush already said that it isn't congress's job to make decisions on the war. He must've not realized that the 2006 elections was a big ass mandate from the American people regarding the Iraq war. We really need to impeach this bastard.
