Kojima denounces the new E3. And I agree. I mean, it's like church at this stage.

It's going to be a great holiday season with a TON of great-looking games, perhaps the best time for games yet, but... that's nothing new. We knew that. These are the same games we've BEEN reading about since LAST year's E3. What a crock.

I didn't even know E3 started until I saw the headlines and I dunno when it's gonna end. Is it over?

What. The. Hell.

I GUESS it was cool. It was cool to hear the English VAs. But man, I wanna see something else besides ridiculous fight choreography. Something, uh, what was it, oh, yeah, GAMEPLAY.

Plus, I can't decide if it was funny as hell or sad as hell that the whole video was just soldiers puking or tripping over each other. It looked pathetic. And Liquid/Ocelot's gloating over everyone the whole time. Bizarre.

So vamp has robotic legs? And Raidens a cyborg ninja. And the small metalgears have real muscle tissue in them.

Im still not amazed with it, like I was with MGS2.

I thought it wasn't as good as the other trailers. I mean it was just confusing and got ridiculous at the end.

Let me remind you, the rumor says if the PS3 version doesn't sell enough they MAY have to recoup the costs by developing for 360.

Given that every MGS (save for MGS:3 and Portable Ops) has been ported to another console, I find it hard to believe that with a game that has (going on) three years of nothing but positive hype (perhaps the most in the industry to date, quite frankly), that they wouldn't try to make as much money as possible and re-release a deluxe edition or some malarky on the 360.

Kojima confirmed at sony's press conference that it was a PS3 exclusive.

then they will be ported to the 360 and someone said the wii.....

The Wii couldn't run the game if it was on ninety-nine stone of steroids.

This certainly is crazy. I've faith that this will make at least one of the earlier games look as practical as the Oxford Concise Dictionary, in the usual splendid Kojima way.

I'm betting they'll do like Substance and release the enchanced version on 360. I don't remember where but I read somewhere they would've released Substsistence on Xbox but they didn't reach an agreement about MGO on XBL. Or maybe that they didn't attempt an agreement because they didn't want to use XBL, something like that.

I liked the trailer. Gave a little more incite into story too. PS3 just dropped another hundred, when I get enough money...I'm getting one, no question.

Oh whoops. I didn't notice. If anyone needs to move this to the video game forum I guess they can.

See, the thing is, despite all the other announcements, MGS4 is still the only game I care about that's coming out for the PS3. At this stage, there are more games coming out for the PSP I'm more excited about (Dracula X Collection, Crisis Core, FF Tactics).

And the Slim PSP? What the hell? Are there any other improvements besides longer battery life and... VIDEO OUT? Where's the frakking hard drive? Where's the screen that won't scratch to hell the moment you touch it? Where's the improved analog nub? Where's the SECOND analog nub?

And so I'm not just bashing Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft underwhelmed as well. I think everyone loses. Mario Party DS and Mario Kart. Awesome, but, whatever. It'd be cool to see new IPs or, y'know, third party support that's not crappy ports.

And Capcom STILL has nothing new to show for Res Evil 5? What. The. HELLLLL.

Anyway, yeah, MGS4. For some reason I wasn't wowed by the graphics this time around. It has that same plastic look MGS2 had. Look at Meryl's hair!

And poor Snake. He sounds so ooooooold.
