Hello everyone, I'm working on my first RPG Maker game!
This game will take place inside one dungeon, and every time you restart it will almost always seem different.
While I know it's not really possible to do this, I plan on making the game feel just like it is randomized. People always say RPGM3 is the most linear of the three games but I'm gonna prove them wrong
First you choose male or female, select between a warrior, archer, or a mage, give a name and then you begin. The dungeon is 20 floors long no matter how many times you complete it. The things that will change are the following:
- Event chests will be randomized (or placed in different areas on every floor
- Barrels, crates, will be randomized with different items every time you restart.
- There are no save points except the area before you start a dungeon. There will be health/magic regeneration areas that might also be randomized.
- There are randomized scripted enemy battles, but if your lucky you'll only have to face the Dungeons final boss on floor 20 (which is also randomized
- The music of each floor will be randomized
- The lighting effects of each floor will be randomized
- Traps will be randomized
- There will even be a random question asked by the last floor.
- The entire floor layout of each floor, will be randomized.
The whole dungeon can be completed in a few hours, but that doesn't mean the game will be over. You simply restart the dungeon from floor 1 with your new weapons and armor you've found through your first play-through! Or you will also have the option to start a new class.
Once you defeat the end dungeon boss, you will have the option to shop for special items for your pet or yourself. I won't bother explaining how everything works or how I plan on doing it, but a lot of it will be with mode switching and display on and off.
I hope to have this game finished by the next 3-4 months. Also, I hope I posted this in the right forum because it's kinda confusing here x.x
