Laid off?

So I've been working for just over a month at a small website company, and today, I got laid off. I was told that the workload was drying up this month, and that they didn't have enough billable hours from customers to pay everyone full time. As of now, I have two weeks off.

Hey, at least my boss said he liked having me around .

Have any stories of 'the man' cutting you off from your precious life force of cash?

The man cut me off quite awhile ago..right before Christmas.And I haven't found a job since. Just how the chips fall i suppose. I mean I was a good employee....I mean yeah i did jump inside the ice freezer once or twice.

How can I forget...last December.

My half brother was supposed to hold the Chinese food delivery job for me until I got back from break. 8 bucks an hour, 50 cents a delivery. I get back for winter break, a lil' over a month, and the people tell me they need more "full time" workers, not part-time. So, basically, my half brother, who did not even have a driver's license, took my hard earned job. I ended up working at my current job, Lucky's Pizza, for less pay. However, not even six months go by, and the people at the Chinese place want me back, plus I still work at the pizza place. Win-win, baby!

That's about the upper end of what I might start out at. $25-35/hour is the starting range for the jobs I'm qualified for. I'm about to re-submit my resume to a bunch of places like I did last month. There are some places which I'm very interested in and have a good chance of getting in.
