Firefox now does a spell-check for you, wherever you type. You can't mispell anymore. No more typos. Ever. Is that clear?

Re: There's no excuse.
Yes it will. It just underlines the words in red. Then you right click it and pick the correct word you were trying to spell.Originally posted by Valkysas View Postwhat if you want to spell stuff wrong? will it let you? like, domain names and stuff? thats gonna get annoying.
And if you don't want to use it at all you just right click the text box and turn it off.
But Den is correct, there is no excuse.Last edited by Marc M.; 07-03-2007, 02:39 AM.

Re: There's no excuse.
Really it's usually faster than IE to me, and has so many more extensions than IE. IE also has spell check though, but you'll have to google it as IE doesn't have an add-in repository like Firefox does. Of course Firefox also doesn't nerf web standards, but unfortunately the normal user doesn't see any of that because developers just put up with IE's quirkiness, but I assure you it's a pain to get things to look right in IE and function properly.Originally posted by The Dark Jester View PostGOD FIREFOX IS SO SLOW!?
AND IT DOESNT WORK WITH A LOT OF WEBSITES, PROBABLY.
So Den's right, there is no excuse for anyone. I wish AIM/Trillian had spell check, I miss it from posting on message boards when I'm IMing people.Last edited by thetruecoolness; 07-03-2007, 03:26 AM.

Re: There's no excuse.
i have been waiting for this forever! my school computers had this and i enjoyed it greatly. i like knowing what words are botched so i can fix them, which means more readable posts for you. its not worth my time to check it in a real program so this is quick and easy and within my laziness factor.

Re: There's no excuse.
That's splendid, it is. It's a shame I don't use Firefox anywhere near as much as I used to, having migrated to Safari. But it's still my primary secondary browser.
My Adium IM app, which Mr. Smurtle so kindly referred me to about a year and a half ago, has a spellchecker much like that. It's very convenient.Last edited by RPGD; 07-03-2007, 04:25 AM.

Re: There's no excuse.
All these spell checkers are the reason nobody knows how to spell anymore. Have we officially given up on educating America completely? Oh well, it was only a matter of time.
I don't use Firefox. Every time I try it out, as soon as I get to liking it I run into a site that doesn't work with it. Considering I never disliked IE I don't see any reason to switch.Last edited by DarkwingChuck; 07-03-2007, 08:38 AM.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!
