Mysterious Movie trailer? (edit: Cloverfield)

before transformers, there was a trailer for an upcoming movie from J.J. Abrams (lost, alias) that blew away the entire theater, but no title was given!

it shows a goodbye party, just... damn. I can't describe it, I dont want to describe it because I don't want to spoil a goddamn trailer for people who havent seen it! how strange is that? spoiling a trailer? it was awesome, and I want to see it.

anyone have ANY info on it?

Okay, I found out it's called "cloverfield". a youtube search turned up a spoof trailer here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=TmCxGjdwLZI that has NOTHING to do with the actual movie, but is all kinds of weird and funny.

I dont know what that movie is going to be, but it sounded like a big monster, and lots of explosions.

Unless the premise is totally horrible, i have to see it.

Okay. I don't have much at this point, simply because there isn't much released on the interweb right now for me to find.

It is being called "The Parasite", but that is not the title itself. The title is also not official.

It kind of makes me wonder if it's Parasite Eve.. but that's mainly just high-hope talk. Others think it's Godzilla. But that was remade in 1998, I don't think Hollywood would let it be remade in the same decade.

But knowing J.J. Abrams, it is all his own idea. It did say he was also the writer. I'm still worried about Lost though.

It had people in my theater talking as well. It looked cool as all hell, that's all I know.

Hopefully the actual movie will never show you what's going on either, because that's what made the trailer so good. You had the people's terror and panic reacting to the destruction but you have no idea what's going on.

Hopefully its a giant monster movie with good special effects. The world has needed one for a loooong time. Sure theres Godzilla Final Wars but it still suffers from the "cheap japanese CGI" look that power rangers has.

Hopefully the actual movie will never show you what's going on either, because that's what made the trailer so good. You had the people's terror and panic reacting to the destruction but you have no idea what's going on.

IMO, that's what made the trailer(and JJ) sound so stupid to me. I brushed it off eating swedish fish.
