Slow Battle System?!

I'm relatively new to RPG maker,
Ive used free versions on my laptop and only recently picked up RPGM3

is the game stuck with such a slow battle system?
or is there a way to tweak the code?
or anything!?

Nope.

And for the record, the "free" versions on the PC RPG Makers were all illegally translated and placed on the internet against the developer's wishes (resulting in quite a profit loss). The only legal PC RPG Maker is RPG Maker XP, and that's only if you purchase it at someplace such as download.com.

...really stinks, huh?

As an aside, if you have an HDD on your PS2, there really won't be the 2-3 second wait for loading up ...everything... which, although isn't really annoying, it can cause play to seem "slow"

Another thing you might try is to increase the agility of the characters/monsters involved in the fight. This might seem simplistic, but it is quite easy to overlook the fact that nobody has any agility.

I only like RPG Maker 3's Battle System for the camera movements. Otherwise I want RPG Maker 2's Battle System fused with RPG Maker 3's. That would be the bomb!

Sadly, like most things in life, that doesn't look like its happening any time soon, but really, if Agetech (or whoever) just went ahead and combined all of the past RMs they would make the best RM ever. Ever. Ever.
