JUST ART FORUM!!!!?????

After talking to gloom tonight on the phone I feel it would be nice to have a art forum that was STRICTLY ONLY ART. no stupid poems,fake scripts, music,or whatever boring junk is in the current Imaginari. I am just making a suggestion. it would be nice to see art in a forum again rather then a sea of text. I know all that other stuff i mentioned IS art, I know its just boring to sit around and click a thread and go " OH GOD, ANOTHER poem!"

well, we have the imaginari. I don't feel like running everything past your approval to see if it "belongs" in an additional art forum either.

text can be art. if you want to see more drawn art, post some and quit bashing anyone else who posts their drawings that don't happen to fit your standards of quality. you have actually scared some people away from posting their drawn art in that forum.

Well while I find your way of going about this rather disturbing, considering I'm not sure it's necessary to belittle the other arts just because they're not visual and you personally find them boring, I think it's an interesting suggestion, but likely not needed. I'm not really sure it's necessary as I think labeling each Imaginari thread would achieve the same result. So they could prefix it with Drawing:, Image:, Comic:, Poem:, etc, which a lot of people already do (well not in that fashion, but you know what's in the thread). I don't see why the other can't coexist and you just not click on the non visual art topics if you find them boring. I know Valk likes to keep the site more streamlined and therefore have as little subforums as possible, and I have to agree in this situation.

So maybe if we had more topics in that forum it might be worth splitting, but as it is it doesn't get enough activity to warrant a split I think.

Well though he doesn't do a good job of qualifying he means visual art, as in paintings, drawings etc. And he does somewhat acknowledge the others as so in one of his sentences.
