    Fog effects?

    Hello, I used to use rpgmaker2k, and then 2k5. I put these programs down for about 5 years, got rmxp, and now am trying to get back into the groove of these programs. Most of the changes I have figured out - and realized where they have moved stuff. But I am still struggling with a couple of things. How do you get the fog effects to work? I can't seem to make the fog move around and make my forest look xtra spooky. Can anyone help an old rpg maker learn the new tricks to the new program?

    Both those ones you used before are illegal and we don't support those here. Do you have the legit version of RPGMXP? Or the translated illegal one?

    Be honest.

      uh... i didn't realize that the two i stated before were pirtates... eh... I did purchase this from the website. The two versions i owned before this were given to me on a burned disk by a freind. I didnt have the interent at the time. that was five years ago, and i was just emerging from my teenage years then. I am alot more mature now and actualy have the capitol to afford to purchase, and the common decency to purchase the game. Good to know that they were pirates... thanks for telling me. But yes, I have the legal bona fide english version of rpg maker xp.

        Page 2 of the event commands, "Change Map Settings".
        Choose "Fog Graphic" and choose one of the fog graphics.
        To the right of the graphic choices is a list of options. These are:
        * Opacity, which determines how transparent/thick the fog is.
        * Blending, which is kinda hard to describe, so just experiment with it.
        * Zoom, which is obvious.
        * SX controls how it scrolls horizontally. It can be negative or positive, which controls which direction it scrolls (left or right). The lower the negative or the higher the positive, the faster it scrolls.
        * YX is the same as SX, except verticle.

        You can also give a map automatic fog by using a tileset that uses a fog graphic. That fog would apply to any map that uses a tileset, so if you want to use those graphics elsewhere without fog, you'll have to create a second version of that tileset.
