I need a good story for my DS

I need an RPG or action RPG for DS that's not retarded (i.e. Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time). It can be a GBA game too.

I just got Summon Night 2 and the story is so formulaic it hurts. Puzzle quest is fun, but the story is pretty much just fodder. Someone, give me something worth playing!!!

I can't remember a game on a portable system that had a great storyline. That's not usually why I play my DS.

But there are the Final Fantasy remakes. Check those out I guess.

I can't name any RPG story in that last few years that isn't somehow retarded, least of all a handheld one.

Only stories I can think of are Phoenix Wright and Hotel Dusk.

Children of Mana....it's a good game.

Let's see...for just plain story? FF3 is good for a while. And a game that's not RPG with a story is Castlevania Dawn of Souls. But for overall gameplay check Custom Robo Arena. It's pretty long and challenging.

Yeah some of those aren't RPG...but you should give them a try. All are worth playing. Especially Castlevania. It was so good, it was MY first Castlevania game played, and the first one I fully completed to 100%.

I only mention FF3 in the sense that you are looking for a simple story. I should have put that. But out of all the turn-based FF's without the ATB or whatever, that has to be the best one.

for the first time EVER, i think i agree with simple man.

you really should try rocket slime if you havent before. even though the story is kinda basic, the game itself is a helluva lot of fun!

i need to pick it up again.

I guess you could get Resident Evil DS. It is always a fun trot down memory lane.

The game won't be released for the JP DS 'till late August.

The US release usually just cleans up any typos and errors in the Japanese game's English mode.
