well, you have to make them in anime maker, or convert them to the proper format with RPGC (available in the tools section) first. RPG Maker has very strict size limits, so you'll find that mostly its 16 bit RPGs that work.

Yes you could. But keep in mind those spritesheets are arranged very differently than RPGM1's sprite sheets. You'll have to do some rearranging in some art program. Not MS Paint, though. That'll just destroy the coloring when you try to convert it to 16-color.
