A GOOD day for game buying

I went to GameStop to pay off my Pokemon Battle Revolution reservation (only, like, $15.00 left) and happened to notice the bargain bin. A fire sale was going on, and you wouldn't believe some of the games I saw on sale--some brand new in their celophane!

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Brand new, sealed, for only $14.99.
RPG Maker 3: Brand new, sealed, same price. (Of course, I already own this!)
Onimusha: A used copy, but selling as low as $3.99 (with box and manual in somewhat pristine condition!)
King of Fighters 2006 sealed, brand new, only $14.99

There was probably a clearance going on, making way for the next-gen or something, but I had to take advantage of this. So I went ahead and bought the Onimusha, the King of Fighters and the Phoenix Wright, and spent about $30! (granted, one of them was used, but it was like-new.)

It was one of those good days to buy games. I don't know if I'll ever have them again for a while.....

Have you ever had one of those days?

    I used to.

Back in the day when they had the SNES bargain bin; every game 5 dollars.

Back in the good ol days...

This weekend I did at the local goodwill:

Video games for $2.50 each, I bought:

      NES:
      Super Mario 2
      TMNT2: Arcade Game
      & Adventure Island

      SNES:
      F-Zero
      & Illusion of Gaia
My kind of life’s no better off
If I’ve got the map or if I’m lost.

I bought a backup copy of RPGM3 and a copy of Harvest Moon for the Gamecube at that Gamestop clearance sale. I also bought both Drill Dozer and Pokemon Emerald for $1.99 each at that sale Best Buy had a while back.

The last good game bargain I got was at a yard sale three weeks ago.

The only games I bought brand new for cheap were Beatdown Fists of Vengeance ($10), and Rumble Roses XX(15). But that's because the games sold poorly so the stores had to price them cheaper.

I saw the Harvest Moon games there as well--the PlayStation 2 Special Edition of Wonderful Life and the GameCube Wonderful Life (the Girl version)--both brand new and marked down to $14.99. I was considering picking up the PS2 Harvest Moon, but King of Fighters got to me first so I will probably go for Harvest Moon later.

I really like clearance sales. It goes without saying that if you wait to buy, you can sometimes save money.

I don't wanna seem like I'm plugging my store or anything (GameCrazy), but I've got a good few deals from the sale we're having right now. B2G1 on all E rated and Xbox used games is sweet, given that most of the games I was looking at for the DS were E rated. Oh, and also, 50% trade bump on all current-gen games makes for a nice chunk of change to spend on whatever pre-order you're picking up.

                    GOOOOO CORPORATE SHILL!

I am coming for all of you!
