Because The Movies is a PC game where you make movies.

Yeah, you should get it. It's a lot of fun. Even if you don't bother with the sim game part of it. Also check out the official site http://movies.lionhead.com/ to see a lot of other movies people have made with it.

Oh yeah. "The Movies" wasn't capitalized, and I haven't seen a commercial for a while, so it never came to mind. I wondered wh ymaking and getting where in the same thread.

I'd recommend it...some like the sim part, but if you don't like that, you can just go to "lotsa money" mode and pretty much make any damn movie you want w/out restrictions.

It's an interesting game. The thought of making a movie like that is pretty cool. Plus, I think you can post your creations online.

They have to make more games like this.

Can you make your own models to put them in? Your own custom sets, characters, clothing, vehicles, special effects, music, ect? That would be pretty interesting.

It does let you customize the characters' faces and heads to the point you can make them look however you want but not much with the bodies. And you can put in your own music, sound effects and voice overs. It's not an included feature but people have made their own sets, props, costumes, etc through mods and there are sites you can download what other people have made. There are a lot of ways to add in effects that aren't in the game like using video editing software after the game outputs the video.
