Alrighty, time to get things started. Pokemon Battle Revolution will be out in 16 days, so a little information is in order to help familiarize everyone with the features of the title in preparation for its release.
I shall be providing some general information on the game daily, given a lack of impediments. And every now and again, I shall elaborate on one of the battle facilities adorning its frontier. I hope you enjoy it!
To start things off, here's the intro.
Pokemon Battle Revolution is a game in which you can use the Pokemon you've trained in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl to compete against others in tournaments in lieu of big sports events, complete with a TV broadcast presentation and a battle announcer, in a large neon battle city called Poketopia. You can create your own trainer from a number of body templates to command your Pokemon in battle, and as you progress through the game, you will have access to more accessories to adorn yourself with.
You can register several trainers, each assigned a trainer card, and with them a team of six Pokemon from your game. If you don't have Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, you can get a Rental Pass, which allows you to register a team of rental Pokemon provided by the game. As you progress through the game, the Pokemon available for rent become much stronger and more effective.
While you can use the Wii remote to give commands in battle, you can also use your DS as a controller to tell your Pokemon what to do. It's very convenient when you're going up against friends and don't want them to see what you're doing. And speaking of that, you can also compete with up to eight friends in an eight-man elimination tournament. You can also customize the rules for battle, allowing only specific Pokemon to enter, applying clauses, level limits and the like.
The latter also applies to online battles. While you can go up against your friends via Wi-Fi in a manner similar to that of Diamond and Pearl, you can also go up against live random opponents from around the world that match your skill level. Better be prepared for anything should you choose this option!
Every time you win a few battles, you will get a type of currency called Pokecoupons. These trinkets allow you to purchase special items to customize your character further or to transfer over to your DS game for use there, like Dawn Stones, Dusk Stones, rare TMs, unobtainable battle berries and nifty hold items like Leftovers.
Okay, that should do it for now. I shall take an in-depth look at some other features of the game, and some of the aforementioned, at a later date. Good luck, everyone!
