And Nintendo said the DS was not a succesor to the GBA...
I should get an SP. DS can't play Game Boy Color games, and I swear the GBC screen is easier to read than the GBA screen. Of course, I wouldn't need it unless I went on a trip - there's always Pokemon Stadium.
I still have my Game Boy Advance SP. I keep it around whenever I feel like playing my old school Game Boy games.
A shame that the DS can't play them though, but I'm not complaining.
Too bad the GBA is being discontinued. But I'm not surprised. Nobody buys the thing anymore. Obviously, they'd rather get the DS. And you can't find old Game Boy games unless you're an EBay shopper or like scrounging around in smaller game stores that still sell them.
Why? it's a dead system. It was kept on life-support by Square for a while, but it's dead and has been obsolete since the DS came into play.
I went to Wal-Mart last week, and I saw "Shrek the Third" for the GBA. How is that considered dead? However, I do agree with you partially on that statement.
I still have my SP to fall on as well when I want to play the old school games.
