Well I have to talk about this game since I have seen a user here with the fallout guy in his sig, and its just the perfect game to talk about at the moment.
So who here has played this awesome game?
I mean whats better then starting off in Vault 13 and knowing your going out to save your vault by finding a waterchip. And the opening movie kicked major butt, not to mention the sidequests and random events. I mean it has many hours of playability and multiple outcomes for all types of players, from good to bad. And reputation in it is a killer. (Child Killer, Grave Robber...ect ect) that is based off of your actions.
And lets not forget its second coming, Fallout 2. Starting off in Aroyo as the ancester of the vault dweller, you are the "Chosen One" meant to save the world. But first its time to find a GECK and save your village. Its just amazing at all the detail and (lack there of) that helps make this game come to life. And it continues the story perfectly from the first , even including places from the first story you can revisit. Plus even a fimiliar partner in crime "Dogmeat!"
As for Tactics I'll admit it was ok what I played of it, though I'll have to say its a tough game, and I die alot in it. But I don't like playing games on easy settings so I die alot anyways.
But I will say the only title in the series which I played that makes me want to walk up to the producer and beat with a copy of the game is Brotherhood of Steel, for the PS2. It was a big comercial for the drink called Bawls, almost to the fact I wanted to mail Bawls soda my copy of the game and let them know they could have thier coaster back. It played like a ripped off copy of dark aliance, you know that buldars gate game, and it was even cheazier then cheetoes. I lost alot of respect for the company till I checked the producers and realized that it wasn't by the normal company (black istle) and it was by some joke of an offshoot. (tactics was by another company but it followed the fallout themem better)
So what do you think of the 4 avaliable fallout games? Oh and for any fans out there the makers of Oblivion are supposed to be making Fallout 3. So I'm wondering how it will come out.
