    Taito Legends 2

I found this at EBGames by stroke of luck after looking for what seemed like forever. There was a bit of confusion about its release date, resulting in me waiting about a week before actually finding it this afternoon. I have the first one, so imagine my surprise in learning of a follow-up.

Taito's been around for a while. They're one of the most recognized names in the arcade world. They're not bad with home console stuff either. And growing up, I've played many of their arcade games--some of which include Darius, Bubble Bobble and Arkanoid.....which sadly isn't included in either collection. Wonder why...

The collection of games are mostly made up of lesser known Taito fillers. I'm willing to bet that a lot of you have never heard of 80% of the games included in this collection--why they put some games in (Raimais?! Chack'n Pop?!) and left others out (Arkanoid? Renegade?! Sky Shark?!) is anyone's guess. Still though--they've got some good ones in there, and the collection is decent. There are only a handful of really good ones, like Darius Gaiden, Bust-a-Move Again, and Elevator Action 2.

Glad I got it though! I've always wanted it, and I'm happy. I recommend this to anyone who's a sucker for arcade nostalgia....like me.

i played the first taito legends. i love compilations like this, but it's too bad most of the games are only fun or playable once or twice because they stink so bad.

Surprisingly, there are a lot of bigger Taito hits that weren't even considered for the compilation.

It's missing Arkanoid, Renegade, Sky Shark and Chase H.Q. Surprising, really. The people behind these compilations should have done more research in separating the Taito hits from the misses, because 45% of the games in both sets are ones I've never even heard of, or just aren't that interesting to play.

If they make a third one, I'm seriously hoping they include the bigger hits.

I was going to buy the first one earlier this week. It's got Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Islands. I loved those games as a kid. But the rest of the games? Haven't heard of most of them. Like Misty said, that's the problem with all these compilations and collections lately. Half of it is gold the other half is crap. Like the Sega Genesis collection. Seriously? Sword of Vermillion? Where's my Streets of Rage and Rocket Knight Adventures?
