First I've heard of this. Makes me happy.

Although, nothing else on that list excites me at all.

Then again, the PS3's XMB is damn near perfect. I can't think of many things they could do to enhance it or improve it now, except having the clock show on the screen that pops up when you press the PS button.

Oh, wait, one more thing I want to see added. the ability to save demos to a removable storage medium so they can be easily backed up or shared with people whose PS3s arent online.

all that aside, the added memory card functionality is really welcome. thanks sony.

It's very nice, but then again it's just Sony upgrading the PS3 to where it should've been out of the gate.

Its not like Sony can snap their fingers and make everything perfect.

Its not like MS or Nintendo havent updated their systems with new functionality, but they dont get *****ed at for it.

That's what I like about this generation of consoles having firmware updates on a regular basis. Functions that weren't present at launch for whatever reason can be added and improved instead of just being stuck with what they had ready to roll out on launch day. Or having to buy a new model to get updated functionality.

The memory card part would have made me happier if I hadn't just moved my PS3 into my room. Go upscaling though!

The update should be tomorrow, which is also when the Warhawk beta is expected to start as well.

I'm glad to see improvements are on the rise though. I got my PS3 2 months ago, and it's pretty much a different PS2 model for me right now, since the PS3 demos are of the most interest to me.

I wonder what the Wii's system updates actually add. it's never been revealed, and I've never seen a single change. If I'm gonna spend 10 minutes downloading something with my Wii pretty much locked up during the process, I'd like to know what the hell it is and why I need it.
