    Lair

    is ANYONE impressed by Lair?

If so, I'd like to know why.

The dragons look great, but everything else looks horrible. in the videos we've seen so far, the environments are devoid of detail except perfect grids of shrubbery decorating the fields that pop up as you get closer, something that even the PS2 managed to avoid doing. it's hideous. I actually get angry at the game when I see it. On the PS3, it's inexcusable!

The soldiers run around aimlessly, and are no threat at all to your dragon. They're just something extra to smash.

Battle system looks horrible. In the videos, I see the dragon performing the same 3 or 4 moves on the ground over and over and over and over. aerial combat looks okay.

It seems like the more info that's released on this game, the worse it looks.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Jeroak?
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

I think I've quit video games.

I was and still am impressed with the concept but everything I've read (including this) says the execution is horrible. And considering it was originally supposed to be a launch title they've been working on it for a long time and still haven't gotten it right.

One of the few reasons I am jealous of PS3.

Dragons are always overweight, as well they should be.

Oh no, he did change his name. Now when we speak of him in abbreviated fashion, people will confuse RPGS with RPGs.

everyone's been crapping themselves over it for no reason for what seems to be years now, and now that it's almost here, people don't know how to react anymore. PREPARE FOR MEH!

I'm not going to really comment other than people see only what they want to see with this game, the good and the bad.

The people that berate and put down the game, are the ones that dont want to like it, or dont have a PS3 to play it with. Those that put it up on a pedestal of magnificence are doomed to be disappointed.

I prefer to just wait for the game and see how it really is.

I have a strong feeling it's one of those games that would be brilliant if they had just waited for more middle-ware for the Cell. Kinda the way I feel about most of the early PS3 games though (are we still calling them early? I guess I am until more middle-ware is developed). From what I understand the Cell is a pain to program for right now.
Took me 15 minutes to remember how to change my signature, and this is all I came up with.
