Sony has finally officialized the 80GB PS3 rumors, in South Korea. They claim there are no plans to release it elsewhere but we all know how that goes. It's scheduled for June 16 and here's the kicker it's priced at 518,000 won ($556 US)! But since SK is only getting this new model we don't know how much the 60 would've gone for there. So if/when it comes stateside will they jack up the price or drop the 60 gig's accordingly?

I think they will probably lower the price of the 60 gig unit down to around the 20 gig price, and make tbhe 80 gig at the current 60 gig price...if this happens. I think Sony is just going to have to deal with taking a loss on the system for a while. While i think the system and its features was a great idea, i think they were thinking too far ahead.
