    Art of Fighting Anthology

    When did this come about??

I was surfing through the EB Games website and saw this. Imagine my surprise!

I enjoyed Art of Fighting. Never played 2 or 3. I'm considering this definately.

I never played the 2nd or 3rd. I always enjoyed the first, though.

I never really liked AoF. It always seemed like a bad attempt at mimicking Street Fighter. The other SNK fighters of the time (FF, WH, SS) were better in my opinion. One of the latest AoF games (Ican't remember which one) was pretty cool though. I probably won't get this.

Guilty Gear Accent Core is coming to Wii too though. I'm definitely getting that.

Well, this was a total surprise to me. Maybe it's just me, but I just haven't heard any sort of announcement on this. It's gotten me pretty excited.

Seems the PS2's got some staying power! Bring more of these compilations please!

Heh, I didn't even click the link. I thought you were talking about AoF Collection for Wii. SNK announced that a few weeks ago. I don't see it on EB's site though.

                Re: Art of Fighting Anthology

Well, I picked this up just today. That's my second Ps2 game this week.

I must say, playing Art of Fighting 1 brought back a lot of memories. One thing that hasn't changed is the difficulty. The game is ****ing hard as balls. For the life of me, I can barely beat Jack. He keeps doing that ****ing dropkick on me that takes away half my life bar.

My only gripe is the rage. I wish you can use special moves continuously instead of expending an energy bar to use them, only to leave yourself open to a skull-fracture while you're charging it up.

Eh, maybe it's because I haven't mastered Art of Fighting as much as Street Fighter 2. I suppose the complexity of AoF is SNK's forte. Well, as you'd expect, these games are arcade-perfect right down to the said difficulty.

AoF 2 and AoF3 are wonderful, by the way.

Play a hard game that you always die at, and the words just naturally come out.

Lost Planet for me is another reminder of this fact.

I suck at fighter games, but for some reason I just love them.

the best thing about the Art of Fighting games is the characters it gave King Of Fighters.

I seem to be on an arcade compilation manifesto this week. And it didn't break my purse. Both Taito Legends 2 and Art of Fighting Anthology were both $20--$40 for two. About the same price as Odin Sphere, which I also plan on getting.

                              I'm sad, and angry.
After work i went to different places, Best Buy, EB Games, and even a local game store. Not ONE of them had the game.

Then what got me upset was that everybody I talked to had the nerve to say they NEVER HEARD OF THE GAME BEFORE.

                              What?!?!

                              Guess i'll buy it online.
