DS drought finally over in japan

Until Dragon Quest IX, anyways. Amazing that it was so hard to find for a solid year.

Yeah, call me when I can finally get a damn Wii here.

I'm confused. So all this time that DSes have been selling over 100K a week was considered a drought? Or was I misunderstanding the JP sales charts all along?

drought in that you could never find them in stores. just like the Wii situation, they were all gone as soon as the store opened because lines formed outside every single day that they got a shipment in.

That's my point though. If 1-200,000 people bought them didn't those people manage to find them on store shelves somewhere?

the drought is in other people trying to get them, meaning if i didnt show up when the store opens i wouldnt get them cause they where sold before they could even be stocked on the shelves. their isnt enough suply to meat the demand, hence the drought.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!

No, because they went right from the case to people's hands. thats how it works. they line up at a counter, and get their DS.

...and then sell them to suckers on E-Bay for 200% profit.

                Am I right?

Good news for our Japanese friends. But yeah....once Dragon Quest IX hits the dirt, the drought will happen again.

                          Hmm...

Hit me up in mid June, Cowmaker. I think we can arrange something.

It's getting easier to find a Wii now though.
