Do you procrastinate?

I do. A lot.

Like today when I was supposed to fill out my Financial Aid for next semester. Should have done it weeks ago.

I'm a huge procrastinator when it comes to homework. I know I have to do it, but I put it off until the day before it's due. Not a fun time.

I even procrastinate when I play games. I leave certain games unfinished because I promised myself I'd finish them, but just leave them there. I think I still haven't beaten Dragon Quest VIII, and I'm almost near the final boss.

Any of you suffer from this problem? It's so embarrassing.

I haven't slept in two days due to saving a 15 page paper till the last minute, research and all.

I think it's more common than you think. I know I do it a lot, it's just kind of who I am. Somehow I always have pulled through though, but eventually I'm sure it'll catch up to me somehow .

I know I put off looking for a job for about a year (though that was probably more than just procrastination as I was going through a general funk and uncertainty period), and have been putting off working on some personal projects every now and then. I always put off school projects a lot, but always ended up getting them done. For some reason I seem to work better when I have that pressure to get things done in a short amount of time. I never have been all that good at really long term planning, I just kind of take what's given to me and make what I can out of that.

Led to quite a few sleepless nights and days, but eh no other major drawbacks, since beyond that I live a pretty stress free life.

Just remember it's better to be a procrastinator than a slacker. Procrastinators get things done ... eventually . It's just when you stop getting things done on time that it becomes a problem, until then more time to do other things.

I do as well, but if you can pull it off, it proves you work well under pressure. I procrastinate cleaning. i think the worse case was an expired container of honeydew in the fridge. karr almost killed me when he found out I left it there for weeks.

Actually. I'm still really bad about it also. I was HORRIBLE about it in school, with art projects or research papers especially.

I once put off a paper that the whole point of the class was to write. Like, we had a full half of the semister to write it. I wrote it the night before in one marathon 12 hour session in which I didn't get up from the computer except to poop. It turned out to be a great paper.

I've also read the entire book the night before the paper was due as well as cram a week's worth of editing work into a twenty hour session the day before it was due.

I think I qualify as a Zen master of procrastination. I've done research papers with only 3-4 hours left to get the work done.

I'm the worst at procrastination when it comes to cleaning, though.

My basement is becoming less and less an organized mess, and more of a disaster zone.

Even when it comes to things I enjoy I'm a big time procrastinator. For instance, back when I was playing D&D alot, I'd have an hour before I was planning to go and DM a game and have to whip up an entire adventure in that time, with NPC's, treasure, and monster encounters.

I do the same thing, hell, I'm doing it now on replays of DQVIII and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, but that's mostly because I'm replaying BoF III and general loss of interest in completing either game again.

Do I procrastinate.....hell yes.

I had two major research papers creep up on me and I had to rummage until late hours just to finish them. I guess I work better under pressure, but still, I can't really break myself of it.

About four months ago I had a letter to send out, so I could cancel my gym membership.

I sent it in a month ago...
