Online games aren't made with RPGM1 or RPGM2.

You don't. You play them on your Playstation. Haven't you heard of the Dex Drive? Well, you need a dexdrive in order to load RPGM1 games onto your memory card.
As for RPGM2...
You either need a Sharkport, an X-Port, or a Max Drive to load the games onto your PS2 memory card.

The Shark-Port is prone to corrupt data. Go X-Port or Max Drive no matter what.

I think the Max Drive was also known to corrupt data. However, I heard it was much more convienient than the X-Port and Shark-Port. Oh, yeah, and I'm pretty sure I'm getting my Max Drive today. You know what that means...

max drive also can corrupt data, but if you read that article in the articles section, you will see how to avoid any chance of that.

As long as you use the Max Drive correctly it's fine. What I'd recommend you to do is get two PS2 memory cards as back-up and only use one for uploading/downloading saves (that's what I've been doing).

Doesn't the max drive come with a mem. card.???
If it does than you can use that to download and keep safe stuff on reg. memory card.

The max is a USB drive or something like that, it can hold a lot of games on it.

The max drive is basically a 16MB USB memory card for a comp that just transfers between your PC and your PS2.
I believe you can use any other USB memory storage as long as you save the PS2 game files in their proper extension and convert them with the mini disk that comes with the Max Drive.
Don't forget that the Max Drive can "crush" the files like a typical Flash Drive, so it can actually hold a hell of a lot more than 16 MB.
