The Gamespot and EB Thing

I'm surprised no one here brought it up. It seems that Gamespot is buying out EB. That is, if they haven't already done so. I'm not an American and haven't been to EB all that much, so I didn't really notice the incompetence level of the employees.. mainly because I never ask them for help, give the place a full scrutny and just hand the crap I want to the cashier (which is what I usually do everywhere I go. I prefer to look around myself). Also, I have never seen a Gamestop store before in my life.

Anyway, how long has this been floating around?

Good riddance. All the EBs near me are completely destitute of people and bargains.

Yeah, a friend of mine worked there. He was a fanboy that hated all the other fanboys that shopped there. He said most of them were loud-mouthed idiots.

I don't really care, most game stores suck ass these days. No variety, no unique and hard to find items, just the latest ameritrash and DBZ cards.

Yeah, when I worked at EB there were a few types of customers that were a huge pain in the ass to deal with, for example:

(6 or so wiggers wearing Sean John come in the stoor)

Wigger: Yo man, where the **** is that new Halo on my ****in' Xbox?

Me: Uh, there isn't a new one, just Halo 2.

Wigger: My ****in homie told me they made a new one. You better not be ****in lying to me, *****.

Me: No, you can even check on the shelf.

Wigger: Whatever, *****. Watch your back.

I don't get why nobody buys games from Wal-Mart. I went to EB and Metal Gear Acid was $59.99, then I went to Wal-Mart and walked out with it for $39.99 (Canadian). If that's not reason enough I don't know what is.

my game stop is also stupid, if u register for games by giving them 5.00 they assume that u payed for the full price and give u the game. And that's how i got rpgm2 and alot of other games

i hate gamestop (a few reasons being they stopped peddling in older games and they throw out games they can't sell) and my local eb is stocked with friendly guys who arn't assholes. and they sell older games and systems! love it.

I've never really noticed anything bad about Gamestop, EB, or Software Etc.

Just by me going there all my life, Software Etc. is my first choice, even though my Gamestop has a lot of older games.
