So...if I'm the mail carrier I'd be thinking, f*** this guy and his cat, I don't get paid enough to get bitten then go to a doc for shots.


But then, I've delivered newspapers before, and I've seen how animals act when they've got unfamiliar people on their turf.

I don't know how this goes in Canada, but in the US it's your responsibility to make sure your mail-box/slot/drop or whatever is easily accessible, that includes keeping your animals under control and you could be charged (in a federal court) for interfering with the mail. You really REALLY don't want to mess with the US mail in any way.

Hell, even with mail-trucks... if a mail-truck, police unit, ambulance and fire engine all get to an intersection at the same time, the mail truck has the right of way.

aaaahahahaha, i live in the same city as that, and when I was a kid we had a pretty aggressive cat that the postman complained about quite a bit.

probably the same guy. it was probably our cat that gave him a phobia.

Well, I can understand someone's concern with cats, they have housefly-like reflexes. Even without claws, they can still use their teeth, which if sunk into the right places, can be harmful. Even nice cats can just flip out and kill things.

Overall, people should have their pets under control.

Yeah I do have a couple of scars from my roommates cat, though housecats really don't have the strength to maul someone, but they can still be pretty vicious. But really they're not that hard to get under control, though of course if he would have done anything to the cat I'm sure he would have gotten sued or something stupid like that, unless Canada is cooler about those sorts of lawsuits. So yeah I think the he doesn't get paid enough to have to put up with that would apply, but he's still a *****.

proven fact obvously. the mail delivery service drives irratic and has no care for human life so the ambulance better stop else it may need to use the ambulance, the fire truck could obvously win in an all out bash fest, but they probaly got a steak on at the fire hall so they would be best to wait, and the cop just wants to get to the tim hortons accross the street.

Just last night I was talking with my co-workers about how a cat bite can give you a form of blood poisoning that can be fatal if not treated.

Yeah, and in Montana it's still legal to kill Indians by shooting them from the back of a covered wagon. Odds are good the Police aren't going to observe either law.
