I can understand this being in small-claims court, but this "judge" is taking it a bit too far. Supposedly, he's saying he's representing the consumers who are deceived by local businesses.And the sad part is--it's going forward.

If it were a smaller amount he's suing far, I can understand. But $65 million is WAY too much. If anything, this is a fraudulent lawsuit that needs to be thrown out. Small businesses make mistakes, but should NEVER have to suffer greatly because of them.

Seriously, what a dick. Just take the pants, seems as a judge with $1000 suits he would already have enough money he doesn't have to wipe out some immigrants who finally made it here. Way to represent the country. I think he should be disbarred then counter sued.

I can see Pearson's case about the pair of pants. They didn't get the suit back to him in time. He should receive a full refund of his dry cleaning bill, probably about $30.

He should then have to pay all of the defendant's legal fees as well as all court fees, because the lawsuit is frivolous.

Then he should be disbarred completely, for using the letter of the law to achieve his own greedy purposes, thus violating the very spirit of said law. He is NOT fit to serve as a judge and hand down equitable rulings!

The sweetest irony of all would be if he gets hit by a truck, only to have some ambulance chasers make a quick buck off of it. It would be like snakes eating rats.

the lawsuit is bogus. this pompus peice of crap even had disagreements with these nice honest folk, so would it not stand to reason that if your unsatisfied then you go elsewhere? it is absolutely his own fault for using these drycleaners if he wasnt satisfied with them. maybe i should sue my local grocerystores becuase i didnt like their prices.

loosing a pair of pants sucks, but honestly what a greedy peice of crap. any judge who, like the smith case, shows clear derlicition of duty by wasting precous court space with nonsence cases, then they need their licence revoked.

That's a scary thought--him being a judge. For him to try and destroy a small business in such a manner is absolutely sickening. I mean, come on! $65 million? Now if it were just $30 or $200, then I'd understand. But, my God....$65 million? How can the folks afford that?

This so-called "judge" is making a mockery of our judicial system by throwing off this lawsuit....only to make a point? And just what point is that, good sir? That it's perfectly all right to penalize and ruin small, hard-working businesses who are trying to make a decent living after they've made one mistake? You honestly think you can get away with this and keep a straight face? What a horrible individual you are. In any case, it should be the business owners suing him instead.

I think this guy is mentally unstable. The dry cleaners offered him over ten thousand dollars to settle the matter and he decided to push it further.

With any luck he and Jack Thompson will be roommates at the insane asylum some day.
