Well my chat is finally here, and though it's not integrate with vBulletin we have set up a phpBB board just for it. So this should work a lot better than Gabbly and has a whole lot more features.
So all you need to do is
1. Goto http://www.pavilionboards.com/phpbb/index.php
2. Click on register.
3. Fill out the appropriate information (please use your forum name here to avoid confusion, you can change your display name in the chat, but please register your name as the one you have here).
4. Login with your new account.
5. Click Log me on automatically each visit:, if you don't want to have to login on each new browser session.
6. Then click the Chat link at the top right.
7. Enjoy
I have a basic manual for all the functionality present in the chat on the forum there in this thread Chat Manual.
After you have set up an account and have logged in you can just use this link http://www.pavilionboards.com/phpbb/chat.php.
So this is still in development and may have a few minor quirks (nothing major to my knowledge, just rarely a message you sent may not show up, though you can just resend it using the message history feature). So if one comes up for you please let me know by posting a thread on the Support forum there. Please include any Javascript errors that came up in addition to what you were trying to do and what happened.
Also remember that the Chat does have moderators and Admins, so if you go overboard you can be gagged (unable to post) or banned from the Chat. You may even get in trouble here for your actions in the chat, so keep it clean.
Well have a good time in the chat and hopefully this will work out a lot better than Gabbly has.
Once I get the new version of my chat out I will make a Pavilion based theme for the chat, but until then, you can make your own if you don't like the default using Style Options.
