Nice job, Sony.
Those PS1 games downloaded for PSP can now be played on the PS3 itself. And you can use the PSP saves so you can play them at home and on the go without ever missing a beat. Also PS1/2 controllers and accessories will now rumble. PSP has also been updated accordingly. Apparently no one's been able to make the PS1 games work yet though, so maybe there'll be an update to the update.

True but you still need a PSP to be able to do this. Don't ask me why, it's just the way it is.

The PS Store updates tomorrow so hopefully they should be adding the option to download without a PSP then.

and you STILL cant download the PS1 games for the PSP without a PS3, right?

I got the update last night. I dont care for any of the games in the store though, so I havent tested anything yet.

Not without any way to plug the damn things into the system.

Well, you have to use those 3rd party PS2 to USB converters.

Turns out they're not fixing things until sometime next month. So good job finally adding this function Sony but ya kinda botched the release. Only thing being added to the PS Store this week are trailers for Oblivion, R&C Future, and some movie teasers.

I can already play PS1 games on my PS3.

I have no interest in the games they have on the store currently. I don't think anyone does.

It's a useless feature, really.

Agreed. The only draw of being able to download PS1 games and play them on PS3 would be for games that are hard to find or selling at high collector's prices. But they don't seem to be adding anything of the sort any time soon.
