You'll have to get in line. That one's for me mum. Took a ***** to make it too. Ended up having to use three peices of wire just to make sure it was strong enough to survive. :D So, how much WOULD you be willing to pay for such a nifty thing. :D

Those are pretty neat. I like to do beading too, but mostly I just work with them in hemp.

Don't be an ass.
Forgive the way I look, I look like crap today.
Far as I care, you can have the golden hand, Misty. I originally made it for my purple harem outfit, but I'm not particuallarly proud of it. The yin-yang as well. Right now I can't display exactly how you would wear them in your hair, due to a lack of tiny rubber-bands, so I kinda half-assed it with a barret and the twisting of my hair to keep the orniment steady.
Most of these were made mainly because I had a ton of beads from a random bead kit, and alot of wire. They I became fairly obsessed. I have alot more things I've done, like necklaces and a tiara, but I haven't gotten around to getting pictures of them up yet.
The yin-yang as well.

^_^ Yes, I ment you IRC. I dunno if you have enough hair for it though! :D
Edit - Uploaded some images of the tiara that I did. It's not the BEST in the world, and I'm seriously debating taking it out and restringing the beads, but for my first ever tiara/headband thing, I think it turned out decently.
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/solder_spam/CIMG1967.jpg The medallion is sterling silver with a gold unicorn on it, and the beads are glass, the crystal above the pendent the same. I'll prolly upload details if you guys are interested.

Oh no, I couldn't take that from you! :) I was just saying that the Golden Hand was my favorite piece. But, really, I like them all--they're very beautiful. I don't wear hair beads myself, but I can see how lovely they'd look. You should keep the pieces you make and be proud of what you've made...even with things you yourself don't feel very proud of making.
And, your pic is lovely. :)
Libby, offer it to her twice more. It's what they do.

Actually I am being fairly serious, if you two want those, just let me know. You are usually nice to me, so I don't mind sending 'em off. Just send me a PM and we'll deal. :D
(meaning you can HAVE them)

Ok, maybe I should clarify... all I was TRYING to say is that people still put things like this in their hair? Like. I don't think I've seen anyone in the last 5 years wear any sort of beads or other stuff like that in their hair... I really thought this trend had disappeared for good.

Considering your hair is bright pink, I don't think your opinion on hair fashion really matters.
Unless pink hair is indeed fasionable thus validating her opinion on hair beads. Now had you called into question the decision to shave the back of her head I think we could have put this issue to bed. Clearly in not doing so you have doomed us all.

Porkchop, I'll clarify. I understand you being a bit perplexed as to why I was making them, but you didn't have to be an ass about it with the laughing.
Do people still wear them, I can't say, but I DO know that people would like this sort of thing for RenFairs, which most people here on the pavilion know that I dress up for. (yay, geek me.) The origional idea actually came from a haunted house my mother and I went to, and some lady was selling them outside of it. (it was called "Dragon Quest") So, the idea isn't origionally mine, I just use glass beads instead of metal.
I have a few more images where I am wearing the extentions with the hand and the yin-yang, but I'll upload them later.
Misty

I see some girls in my university who still wear them. They're not as elaborate as yours, but they wear simple ones with small butterflies and such in their front locks.

For fairs and such.... ok yeah.. but not every day life is all I'm saying. Nothing against you personally...just the idea. And so what if I laughed? To each their own and if I think the idea is silly then so be it. You think its cool, alright. I have every right to laugh at whatever I want to. I'll keep it to myself from now on, and I would've if I had known everyone was so sensitive about beads.

Alright let's take these personal issues to PM. I think it was just a misunderstanding and Porkchop didn't mean it personally, though it certainly could have been better explained, as it did look personally directed, but it's hard to always show these things in text.
As for the beads they look very nice. The blue one with the silver flower thing I think looks the best. Of course I'm partial to those colors.

I didn't take it personally, I just throught it was a bit irritating and could have been phrased diffrently, but I'll go ahead and drop it. :D No harm done, I still loves yah porkchops.

Me, too. Silver is a cool color, and makes for great jewelry.

Hey!
I STILL dress like a Hippy, and I still have most of the hair!
Does something have to be trendy or in fashion to enjoy it?
That's sad.
Made even sadder because that is Beautiful Work Libra!!
Keep it up!

I'll be back to my Old self after I finish with a few disasters (and cleaning up after them!).

Pretty pretty.
The third from the bottom (small purplish-white pearls) reminds me of a scorpion tail. Very nice indeed.

I figure you all would want to see some of these things actually modeled. Unfortunately, all I have is my ugly mug to display them.
