their seams to be an unnessiary crackdown happening. there's no need to put iron moderatorship here, this is no government webspace or hardcore serious business site. if this was a place devoted to anything other then some fun foaks kicking back to enjoy the atmousphere, then i can probaly agree but since this is not the case i dont see any reason.

Re: whats with the strict rules lately?
your girlfriend went off topic.
that is called topic hijacking here.
it's spam.
it was deleted, and she was given a WARNING. not an infraction, but a WARNING. it's a slap on the wrist. it means nothing more than "knock this off". if you get a thousand warnings in one day, nothing happens.
we're trying to keep things from degrading to how they were before I took over. The forums were a mess back then, nothing stayed on topic, and no one listened to the staff. How did I fix that when I took over? I fired the existing staff, banned a bunch of people, and a whole lot of other stuff I don't care to do again.
whenever a topic has gone off topic since I took over, people are warned to get it back on topic. posts are often deleted in order to accomplish that. this makes sense to most people, so they stop going off topic and they don't bring it up within that topic.
its just one post, one very minor warning, and you're getting far more worked up about it than you have any right to.
I know you were absent from the forums when I took over, and you only recently became a regular again, so this change may seem sudden to you, but the policy has been in effect almost three years.

You guys realize that if you get rid of Valk and TTC for being bad admins that leaves me in charge right? I mean I'm cool with that, but maybe everyone should just calm down. In the end it's a judgment call, and TTC judged her post to be irrelevant to the topic, and by rule, spam. Coupled with the fact that she had all of four posts, I'd say that's a justifiable reaction.Last edited by IRC; 04-15-2007, 12:44 PM.The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. Yeah, and what was done was an attempt to get it BACK on topic.Ryner went off-topic in that same thread. So did some other people.
she only got a warning. warnings mean damn near nothing more than a reminder of the rules. I'm sure the only reason TTC gave her that warning is because she was so new.
