Re: And you think your town is bad?
What the ****? Someone explain to me what the hell that's all about.County Attorney Douglas Johnson noted that state law allows mothers to leave infants at any hospital within 72 hours of birth with no legal consequences. "She could have walked away and the baby would have been adopted by a family that wanted it," he said.

That's so people who decide to throw their baby in a dumpster might hopefully drop them off at a hospital instead. Or if someone has a baby at the hospital and just runs off because they don't want it, the hospital has permission to put the baby up for adoption rather than wasting years trying to find the parents to get permission.Originally posted by PostulateMan View PostWhat the ****? Re: And you think your town is bad?
Let's put this into perspective.
1) Being pregnant for 9 months, and having nobody know about it let alone notice. Not even her own parents.
2) Giving birth to it.
3) Proceeding to stab it 150+ times.
4) Throwing it in a trash can.
Another story I remember:
Someone recently mugged an old lady, in her eighties, on her way to church. It's not that he just mugged her, but he punched her in the face several times and put her in the hospital. The whole thing was caught on tape.
What would
think?
