I'm watching tPiR right now and there's this little old woman who I don't think understands the game. She keeps bidding $1 under somebody else's bid. I hope somebody explains to her that she's doing it wrong during a commercial break or something.

Without going over. So like Chuck said she'd have to hit it dead on to win. What you're talking about Loki is when they bid just one dollar.

You have to be the closest without going over. So if somebody bids $1000 and you bid $999 you can only win if it's exactly $999. Over $1000 and they're closer, under $999 and you're over. That's why it ticks people off when somebody bids $1 more than them, cause they cut you off from winning unless you're exactly right.

What's the worst is that now people all know the 1 dollar overs and you'll see two or even three people do it every once in a while.

Yeah i've seen all 4 people do that so ultimately, contestant #4 won by default.
