    Tomb Raider: Anniversary

    http://www.tombraider.com/anniversary/

I didn't know this is by Crystal Dynamics, who made Tomb Raider: Legend. I was pleasantly surprised by that game. I can't wait for this, because I remember playing through the first.

Plus, this site has kick ass music, by the guy who composed for Legend as well.

So this is the first redone?

Does it still have that wierd control scheme?
    ...and that's why.

Yeah, it's the first redone with some new things added since with the new controls it doesn't take as long to do stuff.

Cool. It will be nice not to have to "step back one square" to do jumps.

They're doing most everything from the first game but rebuilding it all from scratch and using the Legend engine but with some tweaks to it. Like she has a non-magnetic grappling hook and can use it to wall run. The T-Rex ought to be extra kickass in this one. They've hyped it enough that it better be.

          PS. Two n's in Anniversary.

The important question is: will she finally get out of those wet clothes after finishing the tutorial?!?! o_O

I actually liked the first game more because it had more tombs to raid. TR Legend is fun, but I didn't like going around the modern levels. I need more caves, temples and such.

                Duuuuude...

I just downloaded this off Gametap (99 cents for first month) and got through the Peru level. I beat the original, and this is awesome...if you enjoyed Legend then you'll definitely enjoy this. In this one, there's actual boss battles (they through a little strategy in there), context sensitive cutscenes (like God of War or Shen Mue), and all the gameplay improvements from the Legend engine.

So yeah, this is GREAT 3D platforming. Nostalgia factor is great too, if you beat the first.

and yes, the mansion is back.

I actually just finished Legends even though I had it for a while. Disappointed in the stupid ending, but I liked the game overall.

I look forward to playing this one. I just hope they didn't take away from the tiled pools in the orginal. The ones with the dolphin motifs. I loved watching the water reflect on the walls and the sense of being in such a massive place.

Looks like they will be selling the game over the XBox Live Marketplace as well. Hope it's about the same price since they'll be cutting up the game in different sections.

I'm definitely getting this one eventually. Might wait until I get a Wii and get that version since I'm trying to tie up my PS2 collection and put it out to pasture.

Wow. Tomb Raider's still around? Crazy.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.
