    What do you call carbonated beverages?

    For some reason, this has always fascinated me.

              Other is anything I haven't listed but for some weird reason is used by someone to refer to carbonated beverages.

                What kind of idiot would call all carbonated beverages "coke"? that's a brand name! They drink pepsi and call it coke? I'd ****ing hit them.

                    One of my best friends in high school was originally from Georgia called every carbonated beverage "Coke". It's because Coke originated in Atlanta and it's influence is so strong there that it overtook the product. It's kinda like "Kleenex" and "Tissue" or "Vaseline" and "Petroleum Jelly" but on a more local scale.

                        I call cabonated stuff soda. I'm also one of those wacky Texans that doesn't like Dr. Pepper.

                          We had a few out of country college people come to work at our park as a sort of exchange program. They sipped a Dr. Pepper for the first time and said it tasted like medicine.
