I'm listening to the podcast now. its funny, he starts with his normal voice, and the second they get to metal gear, he's using snake's voice.

I didn't know he lived in Japan and speaks Japanese.

It's in Portable Ops, which has a fantastic soundtrack. It's like a cross between MGS3 and Don Davis' score for The Matrix.

She was a mother figure to him, and she thought of him as the son she never got to raise.

to Naked Snake, she was his mother. thats all it means.
