Wait for Wii or get a 360?

Well, I am getting sick of waiting for a Wii. They are just too dang popular. So I am thinking about getting a 360 while I wait for a Wii.

Although I'm not a fan of Microsoft, so far the games on the 360 are looking very good unlike its predisessor. However I am not an Online kind of guy, mostly because of connection issues. Thus I have no idea if the 360 is a good system for me or not.

Because of the price of the Wii, when it becomes more available I may just be able to buy it somtime after, thus having a Wii360.

I'm not asking "which one is better" per-say. I am wondering however if it would be better to wait for a Wii to show it's face. Or get a 360 and have to wait a little longer for a Wii.

My tastes in games change game-per-game, so I just would like your opinions on the systems or the games. Again, not a debate but just your opinion on the system(s) you own.

Oh, and PS3 is not an option. Sorry.

If you really want to get the Wii, I'd say wait for it. But, the 360's not a bad system either. It's out, but I don't have one yet. It's got the Marketplace where you can download arcade games which I think is a stellar feature. Plus, I have yet to play Dead Rising and Dead or Alive 4.

If you wait for the Wii, chances are better games will be coming out for it, so you'll have quite a selection to choose from right off the bat. Plus, you can fall back on the VC.....which I obviously love to death.

The ball's in your court, Red. But if you want my opinion, I'd wait for the Wii. More games will be available for it. More channels will also be available too. And its potential continues to be realized by the third-parties.

Also rumor is that Nintendo held back Wiis until the end of the fiscal year. The new fiscal year begins April 1, so Wiis might magically start becoming more abundant after that.

There's also a rumor that WalMart has been holding Wiis for April 1. Could be a mean spirited April Fool's joke but usually the rumors of stores stockpiling Wiis until a certain day have turned out to be true. Hopefully the Wii will be easier to get a hold of soon if you really want one.

I can download games at home then bring them to college. Connection problems in my room wouldn't be to great for playing Online though.

Yeah, if you get the Wii, get it connected. A Wii can be okay without it, but it's even better when it's hooked up to the 'net.

A Wii without internet access is like an Oreo cookie without the creamy center.

In all seriousness, I believe waiting a bit longer for the Wii and picking up a 360 afterwards would be your best bet. The new fiscal year starts in April, so they should be far more abundant, especially if the rumors of withheld supply are true.

There is also more incentive in that a number of Wii titles released some months ago have gotten price cuts at some stores, like Best Buy.

If you can really afford both, and want both. Why not grab them? 360 is an excellent system. Unless it's gonna put you in some financial bind, get what you want.

Well I can wait a few more days anyhow. I won't be able to camp out for the Wii so I don't know if they would be snatched up before I would get a chance. If they are stockpiling them however, I may have a 1/100 chance to get one
