Umm, welcome to the Pavilion. People get offended a lot here, but they pretty much always get over it, because most of the time they realize the person didn't really mean it, or that what people say on a message board really shouldn't be taken all that seriously. Trust me, many others have said much more offensive things than you probably even think of saying, so don't sweat it. The admins will let you know if you're over doing it

(with our iron fist of justice, ok it's more like a cloth glove, but it does smart).

No need to apologize for being yourself, that's what we want to try to foster here, and why we let some things slide that other boards would not, because we want to give everyone a chance to express themselves, without oppressing another's right to express their selves as well (we try to keep the PCness to a minimum, because a lot of times that stifles good conversation). And don't worry about posting too much, as long as there is some substance to it, the more posts and activity the better.

So yeah don't sweat the small stuff, if people are offended by what you say they'll let you know, or in traditional fashion come back with a snappy comment of their own.

Personally I haven't seen any posts from you that look overly offensive, guess maybe I missed them. Well except this one, from the amount of offense taken I might have to write you a citation.

You fail to realize that the U.S. is pretty much the only country that uses a Z in "apologize".

And yes, they use an S in "realize" too.

I haven't been offended. In fact, you've been quite alright here amongst the people. And it's true, almost everyone made this kind of topic back in their early days here. Hell, I might have done it more than once, who knows. So don't even worry about it.

The funny thing is, just a few minutes ago, catching a few of your other posts, I found myself thinking about the fact that you're one of my favorite people here at the Pavilion. Then I get to...this thread... where you're wondering whether or not you're liked here.

Trust me--you're very well liked here.

Are you overdoing it? That's for only you to say. You definitely seem like one of the sweetest, most syrupy (and cutesy and apologetic) people here, but that's not a bad thing. If that's the way you are--or the way you would like to be as a person, then keep being like that. If that's just a persona you're putting on because you think Pavilionites will like that, then drop it and be yourself.

I can't think of a time when you've offended anyone, either. Yeah, inflection is really hard to convey over a forum, and so it's natural to get nervous that something was taken the wrong way... but all the regulars here understand that and take stuff with a grain of salt--and besides, you haven't even said anything that would lead to that kind of situation.

So just relax and enjoy yourself a bit!!

I feel the same way all the time, but I actually SHOULD feel that way. You, on the other hand, have nothing to worry about.

People get offended a lot here

WTF?! Did I miss something? Did someone start another holy war on the site? Usually the people who get offended here:
A) Suck anyway
B) Have no sense of humor
C) Offend everyone else

I think that's a pretty comprehensive list.
