    The Wii is changing me!

I was just playing Wind Waker and I started waving the controller around to attack instead of hitting the B button. and then when I realized what I was doing (because link wasnt doing anything), it took a moment to figure out what button makes link attack.

    anyone else have this problem?

It happens to me ALL the time.

I've grown so accustomed to the Wiimote that I've almost forgotten how to use a normal controller anymore.

I'm glad to hear that. I was worried I was the only person having this damn problem.

As much as I love the innovation behind the Wiimote (swinging the thing to make Link attack), I do wish there were an option to just press the button. There are times when the Wiimote isn't always responsive when it needs to be, especially during boss fights.

Nintendo needs to implement a feature where you can choose not to swing the Wiimote every so often when performing certain actions.

          No.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

But Nintendo's ultimate plan is to make people look like a spaz.

It usually takes me a few moments to adjust to the controls of each game if played one after the other, like Zelda > Metal Gear Portable Ops > Gears of War > etc.

There is an option to use the buttons to attack in Zelda TP. It'll cost you another $50 though. :P

I have not had this problem yet btw.

Yeah, Nintendo is pretty good at being as facist as possible regarding control methods.

It's one of the reasons why I want to try out the Wii w/ the nunchuck analog thing before I decide to buy one. For those who don't know my right hand is ****ed up thanks to a birth defect and I have my doubts about my ability to play Wii games that require the nunchuck. It wouldn't be a problem, but Nintendo is kind of Naziesque about control schemes.

I never really have that problem with Console/portable games (except for it taking me a minute to remember to flip the X/O functions when playing a Metal Gear game), but I sometimes do with PC games... Like when I started playing Oblivion again I kept hitting the Spacebar to jump, etc.

But then again, $50 is a lot of money.....

Children born today are going to pick up old SNES controllers and wonder why nothing happens when they wave them around.

This must be all part of Nintendo's plan! They want everyone to forget heo to use a normal controller!
