theirs only so many times you can flog a dead horse. id like to see them create new titles for every one of their games rather then add a ticker to each game. the "final" final fantasy will be pronounced dead at birth.Comment

I don't know about all that. XII renewed my faith in them.The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

If only they'd get the characters right, instead of the ridiculous costumes and girly look they all get. Some deep, original, even unconventional characters are needed. Like a chain-smoking, out of shape samurai, or an ogre ninja. Y'know, something to get the kids excited.
EDIT: Nah, those ideas are better suited to Shadow Hearts than anything.

Wait, wait, wait. So you're telling me if a game is widely successful they make sequel to it.

So yeah really no big surprise here. Maybe 4 or something was. I mean they made a sequel to one of the regular series, and 3 spinoffs of FF7. Yeah all were pretty mediocre, but they still did it. So really it's like FF17 or so by this point. Does Square even make games that don't get sequels (well besides The Bouncer, and Ergheiz, or however you spell that).
Of course the interesting news is that Square may release it for 360 as well, or has at least seriously considered a multiplatform release (something like that, or maybe I don't have my rumors straight). The only other FF I know this has been done on was FF7, well and 11 but that only vaguely counts, as it's not a single player RPG.
Don't forget 13 is going to have a spinoff thing as well with FF VS 13. Also there is going to be a mobile game for it as well like FF7. So yeah don't see the FF series ending, ever.Last edited by thetruecoolness; 03-25-2007, 11:10 PM.Comment
