This does not concern me.

I've already sworn that after I finish Final Fantasy XII and Dragon Quest VIII I will give up all RPGs forever.

Hoshigami is one of several games that forced me to take this course of action.

I played the PlayStation version a few times. The game is pretty good. Kinda borders along the line of Final Fantasy Tactics.

I have the original.

The battle system takes a while to get used to.

Especially the way you can change your Diety (plus the fact the really good ones Light and Dark require a ritual ability as well as 2 certain aid ability on the character.)


I need to get back to playing it.

I have the original, so I doubt I will pick this up. It looks like a decent port though. I liked the old artwork better though, everyone looks so fat now! Silphatos looks pregnant.

Dragon Quest 8 has been a mostly unfulfilling timesink and FF12, while better, is gonna take even longer. Do I really wanna spend that much time and effort on a game in HOPES of satisfaction?

Bleh.

Plus the genre is staler than week-old French bread. We've seen it collapse over the years with tripe like Grandia 3, the Xeno series and various Tales ofs. Sure, there's Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata on the horizon, and while they look nice I doubt they'll shake anything up. Who knows? I'll try 'em out. and be disappointed.

RPGs pray on obsessive-compulsive types even moreso than other games.

Also, I'm sick of numbers and numbers and contingencies and planning ahead and delayed sensations. I want instant gratification from my button presses.
